Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of GeoVis, a self-serve software platform at app.getgeovis.com and the marketing site at getgeovis.com (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account, signing in with Google, checking the agreement box, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use GeoVis on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company.

2. The Service

GeoVis is a diagnostic and monitoring workspace for generative engine optimization (GEO). It helps you research a brand, assemble buyer questions, scan AI engines (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and Perplexity), build reports, draft starting content, and optionally schedule re-scans.

GeoVis is not an agency execution service. We do not publish content for you, run PR, operate social accounts, or promise that your brand will appear more often in AI answers after you use the Service.

3. Accounts

You sign in with Google (or, on our staging systems only, a staff development login). You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old.

One account may manage multiple projects (typically one official domain per brand). You may only add domains and materials you are authorized to work on.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of brand names, domains, files you upload, and other materials you provide. You grant GeoVis a limited license to process that material solely to operate the Service (research, scans, reports, drafts, notifications, and billing).

Outputs (scan answers, reports, drafts) are generated with the help of third-party AI providers. You may use those outputs for your internal business purposes. They are starting points, not legal, financial, or ranking advice.

5. Wallet and payment

The Service is pay-as-you-go. You pay in USD via Stripe and receive credits in your account. Usage of Research, Buyer Questions, AI Scans, Report, and Content Drafts is metered and deducted from those credits. There is no required monthly retainer.

Larger top-ups may include extra bonus credits on a published scale (higher amounts, higher bonus, currently up to 30%). Bonus credits have no cash value, are not legal tender, and are not refundable. Current tiers are shown in Settings → Billing before you pay. Prices and estimates in the app are guidance; the amount deducted is based on measured usage.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. Credits used for completed jobs are not refundable. Unused paid credits (not bonus) may be refunded to your original payment method for the unused paid amount. We absorb card-network processing fees on such refunds. We consume paid credits before bonus credits. Refunds are processed on request; promotional bonus is never paid out as cash.

6. Acceptable use

• Do not abuse the Service or third-party AI engines (for example, automated scraping beyond the product, or attempts to evade metering).
• Do not upload unlawful, infringing, or confidential data you are not allowed to process.
• Do not attempt to access another customer’s projects or disrupt our infrastructure.

We may suspend an account that violates these rules or that poses a security or billing risk.

7. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Reports and drafts may contain errors or incomplete verification.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GeoVis will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amounts you paid to GeoVis for the Service in the three months before the claim.

9. Intellectual property

The GeoVis name, product, software, and documentation are ours. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or resell the platform except as these Terms allow. We may use anonymized, aggregated usage patterns to improve the Service. We will not present your identifiable brand as a case study without your written consent.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete projects from the workspace. We may terminate or suspend access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that should survive (including disclaimer, liability limits, and payment already incurred) remain in effect.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the new Terms. Material changes may also be noted in the product or by email.
